June Scott has dedicated herself to the creative and collaborative arts for over 20 years. After receiving a BFA from Coker College (now Coker University) in Dance, Theatre Production, and Fine Arts, she immersed herself in various forms of teaching, designing and performing. This includes touring, ensemble work, circus arts, gallery exhibitions, studio workshops, and more.
The concept of layers has been central to June's philosophy. Regardless of the modality, layers can be added or subtracted in an aesthetically meaningful way. Makeup is put on by layers. Cooking and music have layers. Layers of patterns and design are the framework for performances. How many layers in the body? How many layers are there in being human?
Always having been fascinated with the body, as well as the positive and negative space between forms, June blends art, yoga, Pilates, spatial concepts, and dance forms to develop her yoga classes. She is committed to learning and sharing these many layers with you.
June is in residence at Strictly Ballroom, where she will be creating these fusion classes. This will support you in your daily practice. Join our family and enjoy her art!
